July 2009

Here at Harford Barn Studio in this magical valley in the heart of Devon, hot summer turns to wild winds and lashing rain. I am in awe of that that never changes in amongst all the continuing shiftings of movements and sounds and the constantly changing energetic and atmosphere of the day-to-day.

Performance and Recordings
It continues to amaze me what can be held and transmitted in a recording. Recently I finished recording (Viola, Voice, Piano, Harmonic Whirlies, and various percussion) on an Album of lovely chill-out music for Surhabhi McMellan (there are some very heart-opening pieces in it). Shortly before that I recorded (Voice, Viola and Didge) on an Album with Presence, for some music for Tantra for the School of Awakening. Now I'm relishing the joy and challenges of recording my own pieces in my studio. It's an extraordinary journey that is calling me to dive deep and open and open and open. I'm curious what is going to emerge!

Playing for Satsangs, music for meditation, and sound healings at the end of other people's workshops is something that I've continued to enjoy doing recently. Soon I hope I'll also be to share some video, taken by Shannon from Seize the Day, of a wedding I played at a short while ago.

Workshops
The Moving Sound workshop at the transit as festival still stays with me. This small group of 12 of us allowed of very deep journey that expressed very clearly where this whole Transitus movement is and the heart vision and passion that people involved have for it. We went on an extraordinary and very deep enquiry into the whole field of death, dying and the continuation of consciousness. As one of the participants said: "I can't believe how deep we went in such a short time."

Later in the month, I am expecting once again, at Croydon Hall, that we will dive into a playful and celebratory Moving Sound Journey with a group of 30 to 40 people.

1-to-1 sessions
The flavour of the 1-to-1 Moving Sound Personal Journeys at the moment are explorations about points of transition and ways to go deeper, to understand something at another level. Thursdays are the days I set aside for these, mostly here at my studio, near Exeter.

Sometimes I do a Saturday Moving Sound Personal Journey for people who come from further away. There is a lovely organic B & B just down the road, which people can stay in.

Recently I went to a wedding of a couple who came and did a session together about their business and ended up moving home and getting married, supported and clarified by what emerged from their Moving Sound Journey
